Encouragement Notes for Young Readers with Everybody Wins! Atlanta
Everybody Wins! Atlanta improves literacy for children through mentorship, relationship building, and shared reading experiences, where each child is able to reimagine learning and strive to reach their fullest selves.

Volunteers will be making Encouragement Notes to help motivate, inspire, and fire up a young reader’s imagination. Each note will be included in book giveaways that Everybody Wins! Atlanta hosts for elementary school students. Instructions on how to make the notes can be found on the Pebble Tossers Service Calendar.

    Books for Africa Warehouse Day
Books For Africa (BFA) was founded upon a singular mission: to end the book famine in Africa. BFA collects, sorts, and ships books, computers, tablets, and library enhancement materials to every African country. BFA remains the largest shipper of donated text and library books to Africa.

    Donate Books to a Mini-Library
Do you have a mini library in your neighborhood, nearby park or school? If so, clean out your bookshelves and donate some books…and while you’re there borrow a few new ones to discover some new favorite stories and authors.

Create Bookmarks and Donate to Local Organizations
A new bookmark is always a special treat when starting a new book…if you’re interested in crafting, bookmarks are a lovely donation to local assisted living centers for their residents. Here are some creative ideas to get started.

    Learning Empathy through Service

When you genuinely connect with others through community service, you develop a sense of responsibility toward their well-being. This sense of responsibility extends beyond service hours; it becomes a fundamental aspect of your character. Acts of kindness, compassion, and understanding become second nature, and you start making choices that positively impact both individuals and the community at large. Read more
