    After 16 incredible years at the helm, founding Executive Director Jen Guynn stepped down and moved to the Board, marking the end of an era for Pebble Tossers. The organization welcomed Jon Gosse as its new Executive Director, ushering in a fresh chapter of leadership and continued impact.

    January 2025

    Pebble Tossers launched its inaugural Middle Years Leadership Program (MYLP), designed to equip middle school students with essential Social Emotional Learning skills. The first cohort brought together 17 students from schools across metro Atlanta, laying the foundation for a new generation of compassionate leaders.

    Pebble Tossers proudly celebrated 16 years of inspiring youth to lead through service! This milestone marks over a decade and a half of empowering young changemakers, strengthening communities, and creating lasting impact across Atlanta and beyond.

    Pebble Tossers hit new records, logging over 11,000 volunteer hours across more than 475 service projects—a powerful testament to the dedication and impact of our volunteers.

    Pebble Tossers proudly launched the second cohort of its Teen Leadership Program, expanding the initiative with even more passionate and engaged youth. With increased participation, this milestone marked a powerful step forward in empowering the next generation of servant leaders.

    March 2020

    Pebble Tossers increased service to the community throughout the pandemic, hosting 286 service projects of which 153 were virtual. Ten teens were selected to receive a $1,000 grant from Pebble Tossers for innovative solutions to pandemic crises facing their communities.

    Pebble Tossers hosted a successful gala to Celebrating 10 years of service to the community. The State of Georgia and the City of Dunwoody also declared “Pebble Tossers Day” in honor of the 10th anniversary.

    August 2018

    Pebble Tossers introduced a membership model with a deeper emphasis in youth character development and leadership. Pebble Tossers also launched an innovative new website and digital volunteer management system.

    Pebble Tossers assisted the Community Foundation of Greater Atlanta to create a Philanthropy Atlanta Guide for Families. Pebble Tossers would go on to complete 278 projects by year-end.

    June 2016

    Governor Nathan Deal named Jennifer Guynn Commissioner of the Georgia Commission for Service and Volunteerism. Jennifer coordinated the efforts that helped The City of Dunwoody become recognized as a City of Service. Also in 2016, Pebble Tossers preserved a portion of our adopted BeltLine section for an Urban Wildlife Habitat to incorporate nesting, breeding and feeding stations for birds and small animals. Pebble Tossers hosted 171 projects by year-end.

    Pebble Tossers hosted our first annual Ripple Run 5K + Nonprofit Expo. Over 300 people participated in the run and joined group service projects with 25 of our different nonprofit partners. Throughout 2015, Pebble Tossers hosted 65 events.

    Pebble Tossers completed 45 projects by year’s end. Awarded “Best Cause in Atlanta” by Best Self Magazine.

  • February 2014

    Pebble Tossers celebrated our 5th Anniversary with a day of service at the Atlanta Community Food Bank. We assembled over 350 hygiene kits, 50 fleece blankets, countless hand-made cards and more for our nonprofit partners.

    Pebble Tossers adopted a section of the Atlanta Beltline near Piedmont Park behind the Park Tavern and implemented a Daffodil, Wildflower and Pollinator garden.

    Pebble Tossers hosted 4 volunteer projects and launched their own website to match volunteers with nonprofits and age-appropriate projects.

    Jen Guynn and Jeni Stephens recognized the lack of service opportunities for youth and the need for a resource to connect kids with age-appropriate volunteer projects. They dreamed about what a solution might look like.
