give

By giving to those in need, we learn more about their lives and environment and in turn have a stronger impact on our community. Pebble Tossers knows the importance of giving and teaching youth to be charitable from an early age.

Here are some resources to start a ripple of giving:

  • Atlanta Ronald McDonald House (ARMH)

During COVID-19, ARMH volunteers and in-house meal preparation programs have been suspended until further notice to protect the medically fragile children staying at the homes. Volunteers are needed to provide prepared individual boxed dinners from a caterer, grocery store, or a restaurant in individual boxes for their families. To cater a meal, email Dee Dee Ebert at deedee.ebert@armhc.org to schedule a date and time and click here for additional information.

Donations for the Food Pantry are also needed. The best way to help is to order from their Amazon wish list: http://amzn.to/2BaSw96. On Amazon Smile, select @ARMHC at http://amzn.to/2OFlzUh, or use your grocery’s Instacart service.

  • Meals for the Atlanta Mission

Due to COVID-19, volunteer opportunities on their campuses are limited and subject to change as the recommendations from the CDC and the state change. There are ways for volunteers to give back to the programs offered by the Atlanta Mission.

  • Intown Collaborative Ministries

Intown Collaborative Ministries works to prevent and reverse homelessness and hunger in Intown Atlanta by building a healthy community through caring relationships and transforming lives. Right now, they are having to distribute four times more food than normal and need more. Specifically, items like peanut butter, canned fruit and vegetables, powdered milk, and canned chicken. For a full list of food items visit Intown Collaborative Ministries.

Drop off supplies to the McIver Building at the back of Druid Hills Presbyterian Church, 1026 Ponce de Leon Avenue NE, Atlanta, GA, 30306.
