Pebble Pals

Pebble Pals is a joyful introduction to service for children ages 3 to 5. Through playful, hands-on activities, our youngest volunteers begin to explore what it means to care for others and make a difference. Every Pebble Pals experience is designed to be age-appropriate, fun, and rooted in kindness.

By building a strong foundation of social-emotional learning, Pebble Pals nurtures empathy, confidence, and compassion. These early experiences spark a lifelong ripple of service and inspire every child to discover their unique potential to create positive change.

The Purpose of Pebble Pals:

Pebble Pals sparks a lifelong ripple of kindness in our youngest volunteers. Through playful, out-of-the-box service-learning, we build a foundation of social-emotional learning skills that inspire every child to discover their potential for positive change.

    Theme of the Month: Kindness
    Venue: Little Shop of Stories

Think of your words and actions like a small pebble tossed into a pond. Just one tiny splash creates ripples that spread out across the surface! When we choose to use kind words and helpful hands, those ripples spread outwards to our family, our school, and the whole community. Imagine a kindness bucket: what kind words and actions would you put in it? Join us for our April Pebble Pals storytime to explore how kindness makes the world a better place with our friends at Little Shop of Stories!

    Theme of the Month: Friendship
    Venue: Little Shop of Stories

Sometimes, the world feels a little gray, and our emotions can become a bit stormy. But have you ever noticed how a heavy rainstorm starts to feel lighter when you’re sharing an umbrella with a friend? While we can’t stop the rain, there is a special kind of healing that happens when a friend is there to walk through it with you. Join us at this month’s Pebble Pals storytime to read a special book about friendship and participate in a fun activity with friends!

    Date: June 14, 2026 | 11:00 am
Theme of the Month: Feelings and Emotions
    Venue: Little Shop of Stories

Have you ever felt a “fizzy” feeling in your chest, like a shaken-up soda bottle ready to burst open at any moment? Or, at other times, that feeling may feel heavier, like a sponge that’s soaked up too much water. When different emotions suddenly spring up in us, it can be hard to tell what they are and how to express them. Join us for this month’s Pebble Pals storytime to explore how to recognize and understand all the feelings and emotions that come with growing up!

    Date: July 12, 2026 | 11:00 am
    Theme of the Month: Responsibility
    Venue: Little Shop of Stories

Responsibility is like a superpower that grows stronger every time we use it. Like a sprout that grows taller with every drop of water, being responsible is how we show the world (and ourselves) exactly how we can create the change we want to see in our communities! Join us at Little Shop of Stories for this month’s Pebble Pals storytime, where we’ll read all about how to be responsible at home, school, and in our community!
